The Bible is a library of sixty-six books written over many centuries, telling one story: God creating, rescuing and restoring his people through Jesus Christ. You do not have to start at page one.
A good first read is the Gospel of John, which tells the life of Jesus in twenty-one short chapters. From there, Genesis gives the beginning of the story, the Psalms give words for prayer, and the letter to the Romans explains the heart of the Christian faith.
